You are here: Home > About Tungsten
Tungsten is a very hard and dense metal. Tungsten is processed with carbon and other elements in extremely high temperature, and the result is tungsten carbide, the world's hardest metallic substance. If you are looking for durable jewelry, our tungsten products are about ten times harder than 18k gold, four times harder than titanium and twice as hard as steel. The hardness of tungsten carbide resists scratching longer than most other metals.

Most commonly used in the past for scratch-proof watches, we decided modern jewelry made of tungsten carbide would be an amazing material to offer to our customers. Our tungsten carbide jewelry retains its polish and “new look” longer than any other metal, revealing gemstone-like brilliance. Our tungsten carbide jewelry can be polished to a mirror-like finish, and can retain this shine for life.  For convenience, we simply refer to all Tungsten carbide jewelry as Tungsten jewelry.

While extremely strong and scratch-resistant, tungsten carbide is a bit more brittle than traditional jewelry metals and is not indestructible. If you drop a heavy object on it, a tungsten accessory is likely to fracture into several pieces. Also, once manufactured, tungsten carbide rings cannot be resized.
